History of the .300 AAC Blackout Cartridge:The .300 AAC* Blackout cartridge was introduced in 2011 after SAAMI approval and was developed by the Advanced Armament Corporation (*AAC) system to launch .30 caliber projectiles from the AR platform without a reduction in magazine capacity and compatible with the standard bolt.The .300 AAC Blackout has become very popular as a sub-sonic AR caliber with good knock down power at sub-sonic speeds. 220 grain projectiles moving at 1036 feet per second producing over 500 foot pound of energy per inch.
